Job Description
Lead Product Designer shaping AI-powered clinical, CRM, and billing software for senior living communities. Driving product experience, design systems, customer research, and accessibility at ECP.
Responsibilities:
- Set and own the design vision across the product suite, establish process and quality standards, and represent the user in roadmap conversations.
- Mentor designers as the team grows.
- Tie design work to adoption, customer satisfaction, sales win rates, and other business outcomes; define success measures and use results to guide future design.
- Own visual direction, simplify workflows, reduce clicks, and design experiences across desktop, tablet, and mobile.
- Lead AI-powered features from concept through launch, defining user interaction, review, trust, and correction of AI outputs.
- Build and evolve a design system and drive engineering adoption; set it up in Claude for PM prototypes.
- Join customer calls, visit communities, shadow staff, run usability tests, maintain personas, and track competitor and AI trends.
- Deliver wireframes, mockups, code-based working prototypes, and development-ready specifications; resolve tradeoffs with product managers and engineering.
- Present and defend design decisions with evidence.
- Set accessibility standards aligned to WCAG and champion them with engineering.
- Report to the VP of Product and serve as a thought partner to product and engineering leadership.
Requirements:
- 7+ years of product or UX design experience, including leading design for a product area end to end, mentoring other designers and presenting confidently to leadership, and tying design decisions to measurable business outcomes.
- A portfolio showing exceptional visual and interaction craft, including examples of simplifying complex workflows and designing responsive experiences across desktop, tablet and mobile.
- Experience shipping AI-powered features that real users rely on, with a solid grasp of AI UX patterns (setting expectations, showing sources, handling errors, keeping humans in control).
- Experience building or significantly evolving a design system and driving adoption, including setting it up in Claude so PMs can build with it.
- Expert in Figma and fluent in using Claude to iterate quickly, including building working prototypes in code that give engineering something functional, not just a mockup.
- Hands-on user research and usability testing.
- Working knowledge of WCAG accessibility standards, with experience tracking and fixing violations.
- Bachelor's degree in design, or a related field, or equivalent experience is preferred; preferred qualifications are optional.
