Job Description
Lead Product Owner leading Real World Data product strategy, backlogs, and delivery at Labcorp. Supporting healthcare and life sciences customers through data-driven products.
Responsibilities:
- Partner with Real World Data leadership and senior stakeholders to refine and execute the product roadmap
- Translate product strategy into product vision, requirements, specifications, and execution plans
- Collaborate with business leaders, business development, marketing, and stakeholders to define use cases and develop products for new customer segments
- Identify product requirements, dependencies, risks, and implementation considerations
- Contribute to business case development and return-on-investment analyses
- Prepare and deliver presentations communicating strategic initiatives, business value, and technical concepts
- Monitor emerging technologies, market trends, and innovations relevant to Real World Data products
- Lead product development activities throughout the product lifecycle
- Own and prioritize the product backlog
- Identify resource requirements and support product development needs
- Coordinate release planning and delivery timelines
- Clarify requirements and delivery expectations with technical teams, business partners, and subject matter experts
- Facilitate decision-making, requirement validation, and workflow optimization
- Communicate product progress, risks, issues, and mitigation plans to stakeholders and leadership
- Serve as primary point of contact for product requirements, feature definition, and product-related inquiries
- Oversee product documentation, requirements, and supporting materials
- Verify products and features meet requirements and acceptance criteria
- Support Agile methodologies and continuous improvement
- Drive process improvement initiatives enhancing operational effectiveness and stakeholder engagement
Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED with 9 or more years of experience supporting data product development, product ownership, product management, or business analysis; or Associate degree with 7 or more years of such experience; or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Management, Mathematics, Statistics, or Life Sciences with 5 or more years of such experience
- 2 or more years of experience using tools and methodologies supporting requirements management, backlog prioritization, or Agile workflows
- 2 or more years of experience building products using Real World Data within the life sciences or healthcare industry
- 2 or more years of experience using project lifecycle management tools such as Jira or Confluence
- 2 or more years of experience with regulatory and compliance standards relevant to Real World Data and Real World Evidence
- Knowledge of Real World Data (RWD), Real World Evidence (RWE), and the healthcare or life sciences industry
- Knowledge of HIPAA, data privacy laws, AI governance principles, and related industry standards
- Excellent verbal, written, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to communicate technical concepts effectively to technical and non-technical audiences
- Skilled in stakeholder engagement, facilitation, negotiation, and consensus building
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, decision-making, organizational, and time-management skills
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment
- Permanent authorization to work in the United States without employer sponsorship now or in the future
- Preferred: Master's degree in a relevant field with 3 or more years of experience; 2 or more years contributing to business cases, product strategy, or roadmap planning; healthcare, life sciences, clinical, laboratory, claims, or other real-world healthcare dataset experience; Agile product development experience; AI-enabled tools experience
