Job Description
Allstate insurance sales representative engaging active shoppers through remote calls, chat, and SMS. Recommending tailored coverage and converting warm leads through consultative selling.
Responsibilities:
- Engage with active insurance shoppers via inbound/outbound calls, live chat, SMS, and other channels in a work-from-home call center environment
- Use insurance expertise to uncover customer needs, identify coverage gaps, and recommend tailored Allstate solutions
- Convert warm leads into customers using a consultative sales strategy; no cold calling required
- Drive sales growth while delivering an exceptional, customer-first experience
- Handle inbound and outbound customer calls as the primary customer engagement method
- Maintain availability during assigned work hours to meet call volume and service expectations
- Deliver consultative sales conversations and complete transactions during live customer interactions
- Adhere to assigned schedules, including evenings and weekends, based on business coverage needs
- Meet established productivity, quality, and performance standards
- Navigate multiple computer systems simultaneously while actively engaged with customers
Requirements:
- At least 1 year of experience in sales or customer service with a sales focus
- Active Personal Lines or Property & Casualty Producer license in the state of residence preferred
- If unlicensed, ability to obtain a Personal Lines or Property & Casualty Producer license with Allstate’s support
- Required to obtain and maintain all resident and non-resident Producer licenses necessary to sell insurance products in states designated by Allstate
- Must relinquish all non-Allstate insurance carrier appointments and may not hold active appointments with other carriers while employed, in accordance with Allstate policies
- High school diploma or GED required
- Reliable high-speed internet with wired Ethernet connection
- Minimum internet speeds of 50 MB download and 5 MB upload
- Dedicated, private, distraction-free home workspace
- Comfortable working evenings and weekends
- Receptive to feedback and performance coaching
- Strong communication, critical thinking, and multitasking skills
- Competitive, highly self-motivated, and motivated by performance rewards
- Able to work independently and hold yourself accountable
- Ability to navigate multiple computer systems simultaneously
- Position available only within the US, excluding Puerto Rico, California, New York, Alaska, Hawaii, and Washington state residents
- Must reside where the local minimum wage does not exceed the position’s base pay
- Must submit to a background investigation
- Allstate generally does not sponsor individuals for employment-based visas for this position
