Job Description
Licensed Practical Nurse or Licensed Vocational Nurse conducting sample collections remotely for BD’s diagnostic program. Involves preparing kits, coordinating with participants, and data entry.
Responsibilities:
- Perform sample collection including throat and nasopharyngeal swabs from healthy volunteers
- Prepare sample-collection kits for self-collected samples by sample donors
- Send recruitment/scheduling emails to potential study participants
- Pickup and drop off new and used kits from designated spots
- Reconcile used kits with collection logs for proper documentation
- Add notes to collection logs based on findings
- Communicate with subjects for documentation corrections
- De-identify samples and store them as required
- Input data from collection activities into ASCP electronic database
- Track and file relevant documents for records in study binders
Requirements:
- Current California State licensure for LPN or LVN
- Minimum of one year of practical nursing experience
- Phlebotomy experience considered a plus
