Job Description
Licensed Practical Nurse providing examinations, treatments, follow-up care, and education at Wellstar's Kennesaw internal medicine practice. Supporting Georgia's integrated healthcare system.
Responsibilities:
- Function under the direction of the Physician, Nurse Supervisor, and Practice Manager
- Recognize patients' needs and symptoms in advance
- Provide patient care under the physician's direction
- Prepare patients for examinations
- Assist during treatments
- Coordinate tests and follow-up care
- Record treatment in the medical record
- Assist with patient and family education
- Demonstrate competency and skills to serve patients of all ages
Requirements:
- Graduate from a practical or vocational nursing program
- Current/active license as a Licensed Practical Nurse in the State of Georgia
- Current BLS card from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross prior to hire date
- Ability to serve patients of all ages
- Ability to work various shifts
