Job Description
Freelance linguist reviewing English (Singapore) data for TransPerfect’s language technology projects. Validating linguistic accuracy and consistency against detailed project guidelines.
Responsibilities:
- Review, validate, and analyze English (Singapore) language data for a summarization review
- Assess linguistic accuracy and consistency
- Perform language-related tasks according to detailed project guidelines
- Apply linguistic knowledge to ensure high-quality deliverables
- Work independently while maintaining excellent attention to detail
- Follow project-specific instructions and deliver high-quality work within established deadlines
Requirements:
- Native speaker proficiency of English (Singapore)
- Postgraduate degree in Linguistics, Applied Linguistics, Phonetics, Language Studies, or a related field
- Excellent listening, reading, and writing skills in English (Singapore)
- Experience working with linguistic data, transcription, annotation, language quality evaluation, or similar language-focused tasks
- Strong analytical skills and excellent attention to detail
- Ability to follow detailed linguistic guidelines and deliver high-quality work within established deadlines
- Comfortable working independently in a remote environment
- Previous experience supporting AI, speech, or language technology projects is a plus
