Job Description
Marketing Data Analyst uncovering insights for Zicasso, a luxury custom travel company. Optimizing acquisition, retention, campaigns, funnels, and reporting through SQL, Python, Tableau, and Looker Studio.
Responsibilities:
- Interpret data, analyze results using statistical techniques, and provide ongoing reports and dashboards supporting marketing campaigns, ad spend optimization, customer retention strategies, and personalized communication
- Build and maintain dashboards in Tableau and Looker Studio to track KPIs across acquisition channels
- Analyze user behavior across the customer journey to identify friction points and optimize conversion funnels
- Assist in designing, implementing, and analyzing A/B tests and promotional experiments
- Develop strategies to optimize statistical efficiency and data quality
- Collaborate with data engineering to acquire, join, and validate marketing data from Google Ads, GA4, Search Console, and other sources
- Apply segmentation and analytical techniques to analyze ad spend efficiency, customer targeting, and campaign performance
- Partner with marketing, product, management, and customer experience teams to prioritize business and information needs
- Translate business requirements into clear analytical tasks
- Identify opportunities for process improvement, automated reporting, and analytical workflows using GitHub, Jira, and Google Workspace
- Serve as an individual contributor uncovering actionable marketing insights to optimize customer acquisition, retention, and overall marketing strategy
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Marketing Analytics, Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, Information Management, or a related field
- 5 years of experience as a Data Analyst, Business Data Analyst, or Marketing Analyst embedded within or consulting for a marketing department
- Technical experience navigating and extracting data from Google Ads, GA4, and Search Console
- Experience leveraging BigQuery or SQL to join disparate marketing datasets for cross-channel analysis and attribution
- Query writing and report generation
- Experience building interactive dashboards with Tableau and Looker Studio
- Strong SQL skills
- Proficiency in Python (Jupyter Notebook) or R for dataset manipulation, basic modeling, and statistical analysis
- Knowledge of statistics and Bayesian statistics
- Knowledge of data modeling and data validation techniques when working with large or complex datasets
- Proven ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information accurately
- Ability to translate findings into clear marketing recommendations
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to explain complex data insights to non-technical marketing stakeholders
- Applications must be submitted in English
