Job Description
California-licensed Medical Director overseeing aesthetic treatments, protocols, and providers for Moxie. Supporting independent medspa entrepreneurs through medical supervision and operational partnership.
Responsibilities:
- Approve all medical hires
- Approve treatment menus, including Botox, fillers, and lasers
- Review and sign protocols, SOPs, and consent forms
- Be available for emergencies
- Provide general supervision according to state law
- Be available for consultations and decision-making support
- Interview and select injectors to partner with after vetting
- Determine partnership rates
- Mentor and support RNs, PAs, and NPs
- Serve as a California Professional Corporation owner while Moxie manages administrative operations
Requirements:
- Must reside or have a primary office in California
- Active California Medical License (required)
- MD with a background in Plastic Surgery or Dermatology (preferred)
- Minimum of two available NP oversight slots (required)
- One available PA oversight slot (required)
- Prior experience in aesthetic medicine as collaborating physician or Medical Director
- Formal training in injectables and other aesthetic procedures, including Botox and fillers
- Willingness to oversee and supervise aesthetic treatments
- Open to serving as a California Professional Corporation (PC) Owner
- Interest in mentoring and supporting RNs, PAs, and NPs
- Background check as part of the standard vetting process
- At least one year of experience in aesthetics, specifically overseeing a Medspa
- Must hold an active California medical license
