Job Description
Manufacturing Execution System Consultant focused on Siemens Opcenter solutions across Europe. 100% remote work with responsibilities in project analysis and execution, requiring technical expertise.
Responsibilities:
- Supporting project/program leads in the elicitation and building of business, functional and technical requirements
- Supporting project/program leads in the design specification phase and building the design specification document
- Work in conjunction with project leads to define project tasks, identify tasks duration
- Report to project leads on tasks advancement
- Capable of working independently under the guidance of technical leads
- Capable of understanding and troubleshooting technical issues
- Apply project best practices and support changes that can streamline operations
- Knowledgeable of testing/validation processes, including building the validation tests
- Train/coach end-user on MES solutions
- Help in driving solution acceptance
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in Siemens MES Camstar and/or Opcenter solutions
- MES interface with 3rd party systems like automation systems (e.g. DeltaV, Siemens PCS7, Siemens SIMATIC Batch, Rockwell PLCs/SCADA)
- Programming languages (C#, Java, C++, VBA/VBScript, Python)
- Mendix Programming experience
- Knowledge of software release management on multiple environments (e.g. DEV, QA, PROD)
- Experience with Team Foundation Server and/or Jira is strongly recommended
- Previous Application Management Services (AMS) Support experience
- Comfortable working in a 24x7 support model
- A bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, or a related discipline is required to work as a MES Consultant
