Job Description
React Native Mobile Engineer focusing on enhancing mobile applications and web experience for PadSplit. Collaborating across teams and driving product features in a dynamic startup environment.
Responsibilities:
- Develop, maintain, and improve our React Native applications across both iOS and Android.
- Build and enhance React.js features when product priorities require additional frontend support.
- Partner with Product, Design, and Backend Engineering to bring new customer experiences to life.
- Identify bottlenecks, troubleshoot issues, and optimize application performance across platforms.
- Write clean, maintainable code while participating in thoughtful code reviews.
- Build and maintain automated tests that improve confidence and reduce regressions.
- Participate in sprint planning, technical discussions, and architectural decisions that shape our roadmap.
- Take ownership of technical challenges, balancing speed, scalability, and long-term maintainability.
Requirements:
- Significant experience building and shipping production React Native applications for both iOS and Android.
- Strong experience developing modern React.js applications using current frontend best practices.
- Experience consuming REST APIs and collaborating effectively with backend engineering teams.
- Working knowledge of Django/Python environments and how frontend applications interact with backend systems.
- Familiarity with relational databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL.
- Experience implementing automated testing strategies for React Native and React applications.
- Comfortable working in collaborative Git-based development environments with pull requests and code reviews.
- Ability to work independently, adapt quickly to changing priorities, and deliver high-quality work with minimal direction.
