Job Description
Mortgage Sales Assistant supporting applications, documentation, and loan pipelines at Municipal Credit Union. Providing member service and administrative support throughout residential mortgage originations.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the Mortgage Sales Team with member applications, appointment scheduling, member documentation, reporting, and referral/lead tracking
- Assist with general mortgage inquiries
- Gather documentation from potential applicants and/or Mortgage Representatives and upload it into LOS
- Ensure compliance with MCU and third-party loan policies and federal, state, and NCUA rules, regulations, and laws
- Provide members with a high level of member service
- Answer incoming calls and return calls to prospective borrowers
- Refer calls to appropriate Lending Sales and Operations team members
- Mail applications, brochures, and other materials to members
- Pre-qualify applicants and take applications over the phone
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly sales tracking and member satisfaction survey reports using Microsoft Excel and internal reports
- Monitor submitted applications and import new loans into Mortgagebot LOS from POS
- Support MLOs with document collections and member follow-up
- Complete and send notices of incomplete applications when required
- Schedule appointments for Mortgage Loan Officers
- Respond to telephone calls and emails directed to the Mortgage team and assist with inquiries related to approval processes, mortgage statuses, and loan programs
- Review and process paperwork submitted by Mortgage Loan Officers and members
- Scan and upload application documents into Mortgagebot LOS
- Coordinate and communicate with MLOs, members, and processors to ensure the mortgage application process is completed smoothly with accurate documentation
- Manage multiple loans in a fast-paced pipeline
- Identify opportunities to cross-sell additional products and services
- Achieve referral goals and support deposit growth goals
- Perform other related duties and special projects as assigned
Requirements:
- Associate’s degree, or equivalent experience
- 1 year of experience in a first or second residential lending origination environment
- Familiarity with DocMagic is a plus
- NMLS will be required
- Ability to perform in a high-volume environment and meet deadlines while maintaining exceptional attention to detail
