Job Description
Music Audio Expert evaluating French generative-music AI outputs for Mercor, which partners with AI labs. Rating musicality, lyrics, vocals, and production quality.
Responsibilities:
- Evaluate generative musical AI model outputs across different categories of music in French
- Evaluate AI model output lyrics, voice generation, and other standards
- Score the quality of musical training data
- Rate AI-generated music samples head-to-head on musicality, creativity, prompt adherence, vocal quality, and production/mix quality
- Annotate songs in detail using a structured taxonomy, including genre/sub-genre, song structure, and vocal/instrumental characteristics
- Complete a 25-minute conversational interview
- Work on projects training and enhancing AI systems
Requirements:
- Experienced musician
- At least 3+ years of experience working as a music producer, audio engineer, and/or sound mixer
- Experience writing music in French
- Ability to understand directions in English
- Understanding of musical performance, theory, and lyrics
- College degree in music involving performance, theory, and lyrics
- Past experience writing lyrical music in French
- Native or near-native proficiency in both French and English
- Independent contractor status
- H1-B and STEM OPT candidates are not supported
