Job Description
New Business Director launching and growing R2’s Netherlands operations. Leading strategic partnerships, business development, and embedded-finance expansion for Latin American SMBs.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as the senior single point of contact for key stakeholders in the Netherlands operation
- Lead relationship management with strategic partners and growth-related initiatives
- Own the launch of R2’s Netherlands operations and potentially other European markets
- Build and drive the launch playbook across Product, Legal and Compliance, Risk, Data, and Finance
- Track launch progress, resolve blockers, and hold teams accountable to milestones
- Manage day-to-day executive relationships with strategic partners in the Netherlands
- Own growth strategy, targets, profitability goals, and platform success metrics with current partners
- Analyze business metrics, identify deviations, and develop action plans with Product, Risk, and Finance teams
- Organize coverage meetings, monthly stakeholder updates, and quarterly executive presentations
- Support strategic partnership funnel development and deal closure
- Represent R2 at fintech and industry events across the region
- Help develop and launch new segments, products, and countries
- Support analysis, strategy, approval, and execution of new business opportunities
Requirements:
- 8+ years of experience in high-growth fintech or technology, consulting, investment banking, or a comparable environment
- Track record of taking complex initiatives from plan to launch
- Experience in payments, lending, embedded finance or fintech preferred
- Commercially fluent and credible with senior external counterparts
- Comfortable holding substantive conversations with platform executives, financial institutions, legal advisors, and regulators
- High ownership, bias for action, and comfort in ambiguous, fast-moving environments with limited structure
- AI-native; fluent in AI tools and comfortable using them across research, analysis, and execution
- Fluency in English required
- Dutch strongly preferred
- Spanish is a plus
- Authorized to work in the Netherlands and the European Union
