Job Description

Oncology Nurse Educator delivering clinical education for AstraZeneca’s lung and GI cancer medicines. Engaging healthcare providers across the Northwest and supporting patient care strategies.

Responsibilities:

  • Apply nurse education strategies to the oncology portfolio covering lung and gastrointestinal cancers
  • Deliver education to community and academic institutions, hospitals, healthcare providers, and pharmacies
  • Provide education on disease states, product information, patient care strategies, and adverse event management
  • Gather customer knowledge and insights
  • Focus on customer engagement and educational needs
  • Plan and execute accounts
  • Collaborate with the Oncology Nurse Educator Director and internal AstraZeneca teams
  • Work toward common goals and solve complex patient journey challenges independently

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 4+ years oncology nursing experience
  • Active RN license in territory
  • Willingness to travel 80%
  • Reside within 1 hour of a major airport
  • Experience with adverse events and patient management
  • Ability to educate Registered Nurses, pharmacy staff, and advanced practitioners on disease state and product information
  • Effective educational presentation and discussion facilitation skills
  • Strong commitment to ethical business conduct
  • Ability to prioritize customers’ educational needs related to patient and adverse event management strategies
  • Ability to work independently with discretion and judgment without regular direct supervision
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Office, Excel, and PowerPoint
