Job Description
Paid remote Internal Audit internship at MVB, a financial holding company serving banking and fintech clients. Supporting Audit, SOX, finance, and financial reporting projects.
Responsibilities:
- Support basic finance and financial reporting, special projects, and initiatives
- Lead designated Audit and SOX-related projects, including researching, proposing ideas and solutions, and presenting final projects during the internship
- Engage with the internal audit department on day-to-day responsibilities
- Provide suggestions to management for improving service and internal processes
- Learn and become proficient in internal software systems
- Gain exposure to the company’s business model, customers, and goals
Requirements:
- Junior/Senior year undergraduate with a focus in Accounting preferred
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and written communication skills
- Solid organizational skills and attention to detail
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality
- Candidates must reside in West Virginia, Virginia, Texas, Florida, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Maryland, Washington D.C., New York, New Jersey, Arkansas, Alabama, Arizona, Delaware, Indiana, North Carolina, or Georgia
