Job Description
Part-Time Legal Recruiter for a growing law firm in Houston, focusing on legal talent acquisition. Seeking a proactive recruiter with 3+ years of legal recruiting experience.
Responsibilities:
- Partner with leadership to clarify priorities, and build recruiting plans
- Source and recruit experienced legal talent (attorneys, paralegals, legal assistants, case managers, intake, etc.)
- Run full-cycle recruiting: outreach, screening, interview coordination, feedback loops, offers, and closes
- Assist in writing then posting job ads that attract the right candidates and reflect the firm’s standards
- Build and maintain a steady pipeline using LinkedIn, referrals, databases, and creative sourcing methods
- Conduct phone/video screens and provide clear, structured candidate summaries to hiring managers
- Coordinate interview scheduling; keep the process moving without bottlenecks
- Track candidates in a spreadsheet, keep data clean, and report progress weekly
- Maintain consistent, professional candidate communication from first touch through offer
- Continuously improve templates, sourcing strategies, and recruiting workflows to increase speed and quality-of-hire
Requirements:
- 3+ years of legal recruiting experience (law firm and/or legal staffing agency)
- Proven success recruiting for legal roles (attorney and/or support staff), ideally in a fast-paced environment
- Strong sourcing skills (LinkedIn Recruiter, Boolean search, outreach campaigns, referral generation)
- Highly organized and responsive; you don’t let candidates or hiring managers hang
- Excellent written and verbal communication—professional, direct, and warm
- Comfortable handling confidential information and sensitive compensation conversations
- Able to work independently, manage priorities, and hit weekly hiring goals
- Bonus: experience recruiting in personal injury, litigation, or high-growth firms
