Job Description
Trial Court Staff Attorney assisting judiciary with case management and legal issues, drafting legal documents and advising judges. Involves significant interpretation of legal matters.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the judiciary with case management, pending litigation, processing of criminal and civil appeals, and a variety of issues
- Draft memoranda, opinions, orders, and conduct legal research
- Review briefs and case files
- Advise judges on pending litigation
Requirements:
- Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school required
- Five years of work experience in the practice of law or as a law clerk in an appellate or trial court
- Requires membership in Good Standing in the Florida Bar within one year of hire
- Valid Florida Driver’s License required
