Job Description
Volunteer Peer Review Panel Member assessing misconduct complaints for Ciarb, a global alternative dispute-resolution membership body. Reviewing evidence and supporting fair disciplinary decisions.
Responsibilities:
- Consider complaints of alleged misconduct against Ciarb members in accordance with Ciarb’s Disciplinary Rules
- Review documents and other evidence
- Establish relevant facts
- Work with fellow Panel Members to categorise complaints
- Prepare clear and evidence-based reports
- Advise or assist Ciarb staff and/or the Board on matters requiring impartial expertise
- Provide ad hoc input over approximately two to four weeks when assigned a complaint
- Meet with fellow Panel Members to establish facts and categorise complaints
Requirements:
- Hold professional membership of Ciarb
- Must not be members of the Professional Conduct Committee, Disciplinary Tribunal or Appeals Tribunal
- Experience in an investigative, disciplinary or committee-based role
- Ability to interpret legal advice and apply Ciarb’s procedures appropriately
- Experience participating in meetings and collective decision-making
- Good level of IT proficiency
- Strong understanding of confidentiality and data protection requirements

- Ability to analyse complex information and make informed, independent and robust decisions
