Job Description

Performance Engineer leading Shipium's Compass Optimization Services for complex supply chains. Managing customer engagements and technical project implementations with a focus on efficiency and effectiveness.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage complex customer engagements, leveraging simulations, analytical prowess, and industry expertise to guide shippers through critical optimization projects across the full suite of services in Shipium’s portfolio.
  • Directly lead and execute key project types, including: Carrier Portfolio Management and Strategic Planning Workshops; RFP and Negotiation Support; Fulfillment Optimization projects; Controllership functions.
  • Serve as the continuous feedback loop between customer engagements and the Product Development team, clearly conveying project outcomes, recurring pain points, and new opportunities to directly inform and influence the Shipium product roadmap with the voice-of-the-customer amplified.
  • Utilize and interpret the Network Performance Dashboard and simulations to track the value realized from implemented changes and recommendations.

Requirements:

  • Parcel Shipping Expertise (minimum 5 years): Adequate, hands-on experience within the parcel shipping and logistics industry is essential.
  • Contract Management (2 years): Familiarity with the key components of a contract and the levers to negotiate cost, risk, and service.
  • Invoicing Knowledge (2 years): A strong understanding of shipping invoicing, including cost components, surcharges, and discrepancy identification, is required.
  • Consultative Approach: Proven experience demonstrating the ability to diagnose complex business challenges, communicate strategic recommendations, and align client objectives with service delivery.
