Job Description
Permit Coordinator managing applications, agency coordination, and approvals for Inspected’s tech-enabled remote inspections and permitting platform. Ensuring compliant, on-time project permitting.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the full lifecycle of project permitting from initial research and application preparation through approval and closeout
- Prepare, review, and submit accurate, complete, and compliant permit applications
- Serve as the primary point of contact between internal stakeholders, contractors, and government agencies
- Research and interpret local, state, and federal codes, ordinances, and regulatory requirements
- Track application status, review timelines, and approval conditions to keep projects on schedule
- Respond to agency comments, requests for additional information, and correction notices
- Coordinate revisions and resubmittals with project stakeholders
- Maintain organized, up-to-date permitting documentation and records
- Identify permitting risks or delays and communicate impacts and solutions to project teams
- Ensure ongoing regulatory compliance throughout each project
- Support inspections, approvals, and final sign-offs as needed
Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED required
- 2–3 years of hands-on experience in permit coordination, permitting, or regulatory compliance; single-trade experience is a plus
- Experience managing permitting processes, regulatory compliance, or project coordination across multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong working knowledge of municipal permitting regulations, licensing requirements, and code compliance processes
- Prior experience with a private provider or consulting environment preferred
- Ability to independently research, analyze, organize, and summarize complex issues into clear, well-written memoranda
- Strong attention to detail when tracking applications, deadlines, documentation, and compliance requirements
- Ability to collaborate with multiple business units and external stakeholders in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team while managing multiple projects and competing priorities
- Strong professional communication skills with all organizational levels and regulatory agencies
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and permitting or document management systems
- May require up to 5% travel
