Job Description

Principal Product Manager building HealthJoy’s AI-powered healthcare incentives product. Owning compliance, financial model, go-to-market strategy, and outcomes with a path to General Manager.

Responsibilities:

  • Build a new product line pairing financial incentives with HealthJoy’s healthcare benefits engagement platform.
  • Decide what to build, buy, or partner for, and select infrastructure partners.
  • Drive decisions across regulatory structure, financial model, and operational design.
  • Own the incentive and compliance architecture, including member rewards and reimbursement triggers.
  • Collaborate with legal and benefits counsel on regulatory compliance.
  • Develop and pressure-test unit economics, pricing, underwriting assumptions, and risk structure with Finance.
  • Define the behavior-change journeys, influence points, measurement approach, and outcomes required from dependent teams.
  • Build the go-to-market plan, positioning, sales enablement, and market narrative for brokers and consultants.
  • Define operational standards and own the ROI, retention, expansion, and renewal value story.
  • Influence Clinical Programs & Member Experience, Engineering & Data, Finance, Legal & Compliance, Network & External Partners, Product Marketing, and Sales.
  • Report directly to the Chief Product Officer and operate with significant autonomy and executive access.

Requirements:

  • 10+ years of product management experience, including meaningful time at senior or principal level
  • Experience as the most senior PM on a product, without a Group Product Manager above
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • Healthcare, benefits, insurance, or fintech experience advantageous
  • Experience launching a new product from scratch with partner dependencies, regulatory constraints, and commercial pressure
  • Business-owner mindset with ability to manage P&L logic and product detail
  • Compliance-adjacent fluency and ability to lead discussions with counsel
  • Financial modeling expertise, including unit economics and pricing framework stress-testing
  • Experience leading outcomes across teams without formal authority
  • Go-to-market experience in channel-driven markets involving brokers and consultants
  • AI fluency, including AI tools for research, synthesis, specification drafting, and competitive analysis
  • Point of view on AI-powered personalization and recommendations in regulated healthcare
  • Ability to write product briefs and compliance memos and present pricing models and member journeys
  • MBA or healthcare, law, or finance background is a plus, not a requirement
