Job Description
Principal Technical SEO Specialist improving technical SEO across Genius Sports’ Legend iGaming and sports media portfolio. Building automation, AI workflows and scalable search systems.
Responsibilities:
- Co-own portfolio-wide technical SEO strategy, roadmap and standards across the Gaming portfolio and support the Sports portfolio
- Identify and prioritise technical SEO opportunities and risks with the greatest organic and commercial impact
- Lead complex investigations across crawling, rendering, indexation, architecture, internal linking, international SEO, migrations, structured data and web performance
- Partner with Product and Engineering on architecture, major releases, migrations and experimentation
- Build automated monitoring, diagnostics and early-warning systems for material technical issues
- Develop internal tools and AI-enabled workflows for analysis, quality assurance, prioritisation and execution
- Create reusable technical patterns, guardrails and frameworks across the portfolio
- Raise technical capability through coaching, documentation and shared tooling
- Lead through expertise while collaborating with senior specialists and leaders across SEO, Product, Engineering and Analytics
Requirements:
- Strong track record of personally leading complex technical SEO initiatives across large websites or multi-domain portfolios, with measurable organic or commercial outcomes
- Expert knowledge of crawling, rendering, indexation, architecture, internal linking, canonicalisation, international SEO, migrations, structured data, JavaScript SEO, log-file analysis and web performance
- Ability to translate complex technical findings into priorities based on expected value, risk, effort, confidence and opportunity cost
- Ability to connect technical decisions to organic and commercial outcomes
- Experience influencing Product, Engineering and senior stakeholders without direct authority
- Ability to communicate complex technical decisions clearly to technical and non-technical audiences
- Intellectually curious, technically self-sufficient and comfortable remaining deeply hands-on
- Ability to create systems, standards and capabilities that increase the impact of teams beyond individual contribution
