Job Description
Remote Procurement Specialist supporting bank appraisal orders for MountainSeed’s commercial real estate services marketplace. Managing appraiser bids, client communication, and order delivery.
Responsibilities:
- Support the Procurement Manager by providing procurement technical advice to banks in conjunction with agreed procurement strategies
- Monitor day-to-day appraisal orders
- Build and maintain relationships with a dedicated list of clients
- Attend client onboarding meetings and advise new clients
- Provide customer service to clients, vendors, and co-workers
- Participate in client calls or meetings as requested
- Collaborate with the Customer Success Team to communicate client information
- Respond accurately and promptly to client and appraiser messages and questions
- Escalate difficult, complex, or unusual assignments to the Procurement Manager
- Review new orders for clarity and completeness and obtain additional information as needed
- Select and assign appraisers according to policies and procedures
- Assist team members with orders
- Adhere to Procurement processes and procedures
- Respond to bid questions
- Review and deliver bids to clients
- Request documents or information needed to facilitate appraisal orders
- Source appraisal bids for complex orders
- Follow up with appraisers to ensure timely report delivery
- Communicate appraiser updates to clients
- Attend weekly team meetings
Requirements:
- Appraisal experience working for financial institutions and/or real-estate appraisal ordering experience from a financial institution
- Certified General appraiser license is preferred
- Demonstrated knowledge of valuation methods, techniques and forms
- Understanding of property rights, including fee simple, leased fee, and leasehold
- Knowledge of and experience working with USPAP (Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice)
- Knowledge of laws, rules, regulations, and guidelines governing the appraisal valuation process at financial institutions
- Knowledge of primary federal financial institution regulators’ regulations and guidelines
- Knowledge of state appraisal and appraisal-management-company statutes and board rules
- Proactive client-service mentality
- Attention to detail
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Efficiency in responding to written messages through a computer system
- Affinity for working in a fast-paced environment
- Technological literacy and mastery of navigating standard office software
