Job Description
Product Manager owning wallets, plans, communications, and support tooling for Moneybase, Malta’s fintech platform. Driving roadmap, integrations, metrics, and customer-facing financial products.
Responsibilities:
- Own the Core product area end to end for Moneybase’s shared banking services
- Own and deliver the product roadmap across wallets, plans, account communications, and customer support tooling
- Gather requirements from product teams and internal stakeholders, agree priorities, and communicate changes
- Develop and maintain the team’s prioritised product backlog
- Define high-level specifications with business analysts
- Own the customer communications stack, including templates, localisation, deliverability, consent, and message rules
- Improve customer support tooling, agent workflows, automation, and self-service to reduce contact volume and handling time
- Own the commercial mechanics of business plans and status tiers
- Manage third-party platforms from evaluation and integration through licensing, cost, and performance
- Collaborate with teams, UX/UI designers, and business analysts to propose and deliver effective solutions
- Design prototypes and perform high-level UAT
- Organise, review, and report project progress after each sprint
- Monitor and manage software development activities and urgent issues
- Define and track metrics such as support contact rates, resolution times, plan conversion, and retention
- Assess value and prioritise stories, milestones, and themes against product strategy
- Conduct appraisals and one-to-one meetings, identify training needs, motivate, and performance-manage the team with the Team Lead
- Ensure effective internal communications
- Act as internal and external product ambassador and primary product contact
- Drive innovation through new technologies
Requirements:
- Educated to degree level or equivalent
- Strong understanding of the Agile/SCRUM software development cycle
- Formal certification in product management (e.g. CSPO)
- 5+ years of product management experience in multicurrency core banking and wallet solutions, wealth-tech, banking and/or fintech
- Track record of shipping customer-facing features in a fast-paced, agile environment, with clear evidence of measurable impact
- Experience operating within a regulated services environment, working alongside Risk, Compliance, and AML teams on product decisions
- Experience working in a scale-up or high-growth fintech environment
- Strong product sense and ability to translate customer pain points and business goals into a prioritised roadmap
- Analytical and metrics-driven
- Strong UI/UX and user-centred mindset, with experience running user research, usability testing, or working closely with design teams
- Proficient in relational and non-relational databases
- Good technical understanding of Enterprise Web API development
- General understanding of software architecture
- Substantial experience in third-party platform integration and vendor management
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Outstanding interpersonal skills
- Ability to envision and deliver solutions that meet user needs and/or solve business problems
- Ability to manage competing priorities among internal stakeholders
- Ability to motivate in a collaborative environment
- Experience of people management and ability to lead and influence others
- Ability to drive projects to meet milestones and overcome obstacles
- Proactive, highly organised, with strong time management and planning skills
- Analytical and inquisitive, with excellent attention to detail
- Experience with customer engagement, CRM or support platforms would be considered an asset
- Experience with subscription pricing, entitlements or loyalty and tier programmes would be considered an asset
