Job Description
Product Owner leading CloudLinux’s innovation team, which develops security and hosting products. Taking concepts from discovery through customer-tested MVPs and go/no-go decisions.
Responsibilities:
- Lead a small, senior, fully remote innovation team taking new product concepts from idea to working MVPs in customers' hands
- Own the pipeline of product ideas, testing speed and rigour, and evidence behind go/no-go recommendations
- Conduct customer conversations, scope concepts, prioritise work, coach the team, and report to the CPO
- Build prototypes, spikes, and demo stands; participate in design and code reviews
- Capture, size, rank, and document assumptions for product concepts
- Take funded concepts to working MVPs, typically within one quarter, with a named customer or design partner testing them
- Define success criteria and report usage, conversion, willingness to pay, and support load
- Make go/no-go decisions; hand proven products to product lines with runbooks and roadmaps
- Document learnings from concepts that do not prove out
- Report status and risk to the CPO weekly, with owners and due dates for every item
- Select the fastest credible build approach using buy, borrow, open source, or custom development
- Build prototypes and demo stands; review all team designs and code
- Ensure MVPs are production-worthy, including packaging, safe rollout, rollback, and observability
- Collaborate with architecture and product teams to enable adoption without a rewrite
- Lead distributed-team 1:1s, goal setting, performance reviews, and career development
- Hire, interview, onboard, and mentor engineers
- Establish async working agreements, written decisions, public-by-default communication, and demos over status meetings
- Model and coach effective use of AI coding agents, including prompting, code review, context provision, iteration, error recovery, and task completion
- Use AI agents to build prototypes, generate test corpora, and draft customer-facing materials
- Complete first-90-day objectives, including team assessment, customer engagement, pipeline ownership, prototype delivery, and a ranked portfolio of bets
Requirements:

- Ability to debug live systems on the box
- Practical product discovery skills, including customer interviews, assumption mapping, pricing experiments, and reading usage and conversion data
