Job Description

Project Surveyor coordinating boundary and ROW surveying projects for employee-owned Larson Design Group. Directing crews, managing deliverables, and ensuring regulatory compliance across U.S. projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and direct survey crews and office staff to complete projects accurately, on time, and within budget
  • Collaborate with departments and project team members on multi-discipline projects
  • Manage a specific discipline within multi-discipline projects
  • Perform and review boundary and Right of Way calculations
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, local, and corporate regulations and requirements
  • Oversee technical quality, project deliverables, and project schedules
  • Perform and review calculations and drawings for accuracy, completeness, and compliance
  • Develop project scopes, budgets, and fees within the assigned discipline
  • Assist with project submittals, RFIs, and other deliverables
  • Estimate work task time for proposals and project planning
  • Maintain client communication and provide regular progress updates
  • Ensure adherence to company QA/QC procedures and quality standards
  • Identify opportunities for new projects and assist in converting leads into business
  • Prepare written correspondence for internal and external stakeholders
  • Build and maintain professional contacts through technical, civic, and industry organizations
  • Represent the company and clients at public meetings as needed
  • Direct, mentor, and evaluate team members
  • Assist with internal training programs

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree required
  • Minimum of ten (10) years of job-related experience, including boundary and ROW resolution experience
  • Valid Professional Surveyor's License in OH, PA, WV, NY, OK, NC, and FL
  • Ability to obtain additional licenses across the United States
  • Valid driver's license
  • Advanced knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D, MicroStation, ORD, and/or similar surveying software
  • Experience with Terrestrial LiDAR and UAV preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a project team
  • Desire to expand knowledge and take on new responsibilities
