Job Description

Purchasing Assistant supporting international supplier coordination and inventory management processes at Yempo. Manage purchase orders, assist with logistics, and ensure compliance for health and safety.

Responsibilities:

  • Create, process, and track purchase orders, primarily with international suppliers under the direction of your manager
  • Monitor order progress, delivery timelines, and resolve purchasing related issues
  • Communicate regularly with vendors regarding pricing, lead times, documentation, and shipments
  • Assist with inventory management across multiple warehouses
  • Maintain accurate stock, purchasing, and logistics records within ERP systems and spreadsheets
  • Support logistics coordination, including shipments, freight documentation, and delivery tracking
  • Maintain accurate operational records and documentation
  • Provide administrative support for Health & Safety requirements across Australia and New Zealand
  • Assist with audits, reporting, and compliance-related documentation as required
  • Liaise with internal teams including operations, finance, and warehouse staff
  • Support continuous improvement of purchasing and operational processes

Requirements:

  • Tech-savvy and comfortable learning new systems
  • Experience or willingness to learn ERP systems, spreadsheets, and digital tools
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel or similar tools
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
  • Clear and confident written and verbal communication skills
  • Enjoys working with numbers, data, and detail-oriented tasks
  • Understanding of basic accounting principles
  • High attention to detail with strong problem-solving ability
  • Proactive, reliable, and eager to learn
  • Able to work independently while contributing effectively to a team
