Job Description
Quality Assurance/Test Engineer for NIWC Atlantic Software Services ensuring systems meet requirements and conducting extensive testing procedures. Collaborating with teams across various coding platforms.
Responsibilities:
- Test all software releases, including new features, enhancements, and fixes for bugs and defects.
- Design, implement, and conduct test and evaluation procedures to ensure system requirements are met.
- Develop, release, and maintain manual and automated test procedures.
- Work across teams and coding platforms such as Appian, Service Now, Archibus.
- Perform and document exploratory testing results.
- Test STIGs for functionality on IT systems.
- Evaluate, recommend, and implement automated test tools and strategies.
- Report status of test cases to project leads.
- Work with product owners to understand desired application capabilities and testing scenarios and deadlines.
- Support customer UAT events.
Requirements:
- BS degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration or other related discipline.
- Six (6) years of experience in Software testing, including: designing, implementing, and conducting test and evaluation procedures.
- Automate software testing processes, and conduct software performance analysis.
- Conduct white-box testing, black-box testing, end-to-end testing, integration testing, and regression testing.
- QA documentation (test cases & scenarios, RTM) and bug documentation in ticket tracking system.
- Identify risks and constraints, contingency plans and test deliverables.
- Prior Navy related experience preferred.
- DoD 8570 IAT Level II training desired: Prefer candidate to have at least one of the following: CCNA, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, CompTIA Security+ CE, CND, or SSCP.
