Job Description

Regional Sales Manager leading sales efforts for Specification team in lighting solutions. Collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop and implement marketing strategies for key accounts.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop the regional sales plan for Specification team and implement marketing strategies
  • Manage, update and implement activities and strategies to support the sales plan
  • Manage employees in assigned region, establish and maintain employee performance standards
  • Provide ongoing, timely feedback and periodic formal performance evaluations
  • Develop agency salespeople within the region
  • Conduct sales presentations for Specifiers, Contracts and agents alike
  • Ensure representatives have appropriate training
  • Attend local and national shows providing sales support
  • Collaborate with Marketing leadership and Product Managers to maximize sales volume
  • Develop key Specifier relationships
  • Identify emerging markets and market shifts

Requirements:

  • BS or BA from an accredited university, MBA preferred
  • Minimum of 10 years in Lighting/Electrical Industry
  • A minimum of 5 years of Managerial experience
  • Minimum of 5 Years Specification experience
  • Must have extensive knowledge of the product, geographic markets, and channels we serve as well as electric and or lighting industry as whole
  • Solid business acumen and understanding of a variety of functional areas within the business
  • Must understand implement marketing strategy and manage teams to that strategy
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Must be able to provide the right balance of guidance/support and autonomy
  • Highly collaborative and able to work in a team-based environment
  • Excellent skills in project management
  • Must have excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • Strong computer skills, proficient with word processing, spreadsheet and presentation software
