Job Description

Per diem Registered Nurse conducting mobile clinical trials for pharmaceutical and healthcare companies. Coordinating patient visits, administering trial medication, collecting samples, and maintaining GCP-compliant data.

Responsibilities:

  • Run clinical trials day to day in accordance with trial protocols, case report forms, supporting documents, procedures, timelines, and SOPs
  • Communicate with the research nurse project manager, research nurse manager, site staff, and Principal Investigator
  • Maintain accurate trial documentation and electronically transfer data while protecting subject confidentiality and adhering to GCP and data protection requirements
  • Attend Site Initiation Visits and other required meetings
  • Coordinate and complete subject trial visits on- and off-site
  • Complete trial procedures and assessments according to protocol and SOPs and collect accurate data
  • Administer trial medication and facilitate its safe storage, transfer, and accountability
  • Process, package, and dispatch samples while liaising with courier companies and organizations
  • Assist with identifying eligible patients and recruiting patients into clinical trials
  • Provide information and support for patients receiving on- and off-site care
  • Report adverse events, serious adverse events, and SUSARs to the site team and RNPM and support required follow-up
  • Report suspected misconduct or fraud to Illingworth and associated companies

Requirements:

  • Registered nurse with a minimum of 2 years' post qualification experience
  • Research and clinical trials experience with GCP certification
  • Knowledge of research design and methodology desirable
  • Experience and knowledge of clinical nursing skills such as Venepuncture and ECG preferable
  • Ability to work autonomously with initiative in a team within a multidisciplinary environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks
  • Good working knowledge of Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint as a minimum
  • Must be able to work in Connecticut/USA-CT-Remote
