Job Description
Revenue Accounting Manager leading end-to-end revenue recognition processes and overseeing accounting close activities for a leading real-time location platform. Collaborating with Technical Revenue Team and FP&A for accurate reporting and forecasting.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the end-to-end revenue recognition process in compliance with ASC 606, ensuring accurate and timely reporting
- Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue accounting close activities, including revenue review, journal entries, accruals, variance analysis, and reconciliations, related to AR, revenue, and commissions
- Design and implement scalable processes and systems for order-to-cash workflows, ensuring compliance between technical policies and operational processes without introducing unnecessary complexity
- Partner with the Technical Revenue Team to review and interpret complex customer contracts to determine appropriate revenue treatment
- Prepare audit-ready documentation and support external audits
- Monitor internal controls related to revenue and improve where necessary
- Coordinate with FP&A for revenue forecasting and variance analysis
Requirements:
- BS in Accounting or Finance
- CPA License
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Prior experience with Netsuite, Stripe, and Salesforce preferred
- 5+ years of experience in revenue accounting, preferably in a SaaS or technology environment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and work on multiple tasks at once
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Demonstrates the ability and willingness to meet business-critical deadlines.
