Job Description

Risk and Contract Manager at Hitachi Energy developing strategies and providing guidance to Sales, Procurement, and Project management teams. Ensuring contract management activities for large complex projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide professional risk and contract management advice and guidance to Sales, Procurement, and Project management teams
  • Develop risk and contract management strategies for improved operational results
  • Support process improvements in matters of risk and contract management
  • Provide contract management services for large and complex projects
  • Protect Hitachi Energy business interests from tender submission to project completion
  • Prepare and update Hub Risk Management instruction and governance
  • Drive and manage professional Risk Review process during tendering phase
  • Actively participate in select Project Reviews and advise from a commercial, contractual, and risk management perspective
  • Develop and implement strategies for mitigating risks in the legal and taxation areas

Requirements:

  • Bachelor or Master’s degree in Law preferred, alternatively degree in business administration or engineering
  • At least 8 years of experience in Risk and Contract Management
  • Experience in drafting different types of contracts
  • Strong knowledge of service agreements, engineering or procurement environments
  • Proven track record of handling projects of varying size and complexity
  • High-level negotiations, contract administration, claims, change management
  • Solid understanding of change management, claim management and contract related legal issues
  • Excellent command of English, German is an advantage
  • Site based experience and technical knowledge of electrical products is an added advantage.
