Job Description
Risk Management Analyst supporting financial risk strategies in a remote-first team at Acorns. Collaborating with various departments to ensure effective risk management practices.
Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and maintain scalable strategies to mitigate financial risks associated with money movement and referral programs.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders across Banking, Invest, Analytics, Data Science, and Product teams to align risk strategies with company growth.
- Query complex data environments to convert raw data into actionable information and automated processes; increase the analytic rigor used to drive key initiatives on the Risk and Product roadmaps.
- Define, monitor, and report on daily, weekly, and monthly KPIs; proactively escalate anomalies and drive improvements in loss budgets while balancing customer false-positive rates.
- Develop a deep understanding of the technical infrastructure supporting our core products to identify and address potential vulnerabilities effectively.
- Make meaningful contributions to reducing financial losses and expenses, ensuring our risk practices are best-in-class and customer-focused.
Requirements:
- BS in Business, Finance, Math, or another technical field.
- 3–5 years of experience in an operational, analytical, or risk-focused role, preferably within a financial institution.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a proficiency in converting data into scalable processes.
