Job Description

Senior Accountant strengthening controls and reporting for Avantpage, a global translation provider. Managing close, reconciliations, project accounting, payroll, and process improvements remotely across LATAM.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the Head of Finance in the monthly close process, ensuring journal entries, reconciliations, and supporting schedules are completed accurately and on time
  • Prepare and post journal entries, prepaid expense entries, and other adjusting journal entries in the G/L
  • Perform detailed balance sheet reconciliations, including cash, AR, AP, prepaids, fixed assets, and liabilities
  • Prepare monthly budget-to-actual reports with variance analyses and management commentary
  • Support preparation of quarterly financial presentations and management reports
  • Administer the company’s Ramp corporate card program, including issuance, limits, and deactivations
  • Review, code, and classify transactions across departments, classes, projects, and GL accounts
  • Ensure compliance with expense policies and timely receipt submissions
  • Manage, triage, and fulfill Finance-related purchase requests in Jira
  • Review payroll entries for accuracy
  • Support setup and maintenance of payroll tax accounts in multiple U.S. states
  • Maintain documentation for Form 1099 filings and IRS receipt compliance
  • Support audit readiness by maintaining well-documented workpapers
  • Track project-level costs and ensure accurate expense allocation across departments or projects
  • Identify and implement process improvements
  • Maintain system integrity across QuickBooks Online, Ramp, Tipalti, and related platforms
  • Develop and maintain internal SOPs and accounting workflows

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required
  • 4–6 years of progressive accounting experience, including ownership of month-end close
  • Experience with QuickBooks Online, Project Accounting, and U.S. GAAP required
  • Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, SUMIFS, and data analysis
  • Strong experience with account reconciliations and month-end close
  • Prior experience managing corporate credit card programs, purchase requisitions, and expense classification
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
  • Willingness to work PST hours
