Job Description
Senior Accountant managing GAAP reporting, reconciliations, leases, and fixed assets for LaserAway's fast-growing aesthetic-treatment business. Improving financial controls and close processes.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements under GAAP
- Support external audit processes
- Perform account reconciliations and intercompany reconciliations
- Account for leases under ASC 842
- Manage prepaid expenses
- Manage fixed assets, including work-in-process and internally developed software
- Work with the tax team on property, sales and use, and other fixed asset tax matters
- Help design controls and processes to improve the reliability of the financial close
- Evaluate accounting systems and recommend enhancements
- Own technical accounting details and identify problems early
- Work independently while managing multiple priorities and tight deadlines
Requirements:
- CPA license
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- 5+ years of accounting experience, including 2+ years in a senior accounting role
- Strong working knowledge of GAAP
- SEC reporting experience
- Advanced Excel skills, including lookups and pivot tables
- Technical accounting expertise and commitment to staying current on new standards
- Strong attention to detail in high-volume environments
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and tight deadlines
- Experience with multi-entity or consolidated financial reporting
- Working knowledge of NetSuite ERP
- Experience in both public and private company environments
- Familiarity with DOMO business intelligence and AI tools such as Claude Cowork
