Job Description
Senior Backend Engineer building scalable backend systems for OX’s security product. Translating customer needs into features while solving infrastructure and performance challenges.
Responsibilities:
- Develop backend features for the Customer Focus Group (CFG)
- Contribute to backend architecture and infrastructure
- Translate customer needs into product capabilities
- Resolve pressing technical issues
- Focus on system performance, scalability, and customer satisfaction
- Participate in product and direct customer interaction
- Bridge engineering and the commercial side of the product
Requirements:
- Backend architecture — microservices, API design, and design patterns (deep understanding)
- Node.js / TypeScript proficiency (or other relevant backend languages)
- SQL and NoSQL databases, with experience scaling systems for high-volume data processing
- Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and their services — serverless computing, managed databases
- 5+ years of backend development, with a strong focus on customer-centric products
- Proven problem-solving with a track record of performant, scalable solutions
- Agile development practices and CI/CD pipelines
- Excellent collaboration and communication with globally distributed teams
- Security / AppSec domain familiarity (OX is a security product) — nice to have
- Customer-facing / pre-sales technical experience — nice to have
- Experience bridging product and engineering — nice to have
