Job Description
Senior Business Analyst implementing fintech solutions for securities finance in broker-dealers and investment banks. Collaborating with clients and teams to drive requirement gathering and solution deployment.
Responsibilities:
- Partner directly with broker-dealers and investment banks to gather requirements and drive solution implementation from design through deployment
- Translate business needs into clear functional and technical specifications for development teams
- Support system implementations, including configuration, data validation, and coordination with development teams
- Identify process improvement opportunities and help re-engineer workflows to increase efficiency, accuracy, and compliance
- Act as the voice of the client, ensuring solutions align with business objectives and regulatory obligations
- Support and execute system testing, validating that delivered solutions meet defined requirements
- Provide subject-matter guidance on securities finance, segregation, and regulatory impacts of system changes
- Define system scope and objectives based on client business models, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices
- Train, mentor, and support junior analysts, contributing to team knowledge and development
Requirements:
- 7-10 years of Business Systems / Business Analyst experience in financial services
- Strong hands-on experience with Securities Finance, including Securities Lending and Repo
- Required expertise in SEC Rule 15c3-3 and Regulation SHO
- Experience with security settlements, Segregation Maintenance, including margin accounts and segregation memos
- Solid understanding of end-to-end systems development life cycles in complex, regulated environments
- Ability to clearly translate business requirements into technical specifications and communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, documentation, and stakeholder management skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent experience
- SQL experience is a plus
