Job Description
Business Value Engineer quantifying ROI and business value for Grafana Labs’ observability platform. Enabling sales teams through customer insights, value storytelling, and strategic partnerships.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with customers to uncover growth and profitability opportunities through personalized storytelling
- Develop ROI/TCO models identifying value areas driven by new products, emerging trends, and market challenges
- Enable pre- and post-sales teams through training, content development, and support
- Partner with cross-functional teams to create unified value narratives and align internal stakeholders and external messaging
- Collaborate with Account Executives, Solutions Engineers, and Observability Architects to define and articulate product and service value
Requirements:
- 3–5+ years of experience in value management, consulting, or engineering
- Deep understanding of building quantitative and qualitative analyses
- Ability to analyze complex data sets
- Ability to create compelling customer-facing stories
- Ability to communicate findings effectively to technical and executive audiences
- Experience partnering with GTM leaders across Sales, Customer Success, Marketing, and Finance
- Growth mindset and willingness to learn new technologies and adapt quickly
- Bonus: 3+ years of observability experience, preferably with open-source tools such as Grafana, Prometheus, or Loki
- Bonus: Familiarity with the open-source landscape and community
