Job Description
Seeking a Civil Engineering Technician for Mission Critical Data Center projects within Stantec. Work on various Data Center projects while delivering high quality civil site designs remotely.
Responsibilities:
- Support engineering projects working directly with engineers, project managers, and design team members
- Deliver high quality drafting of engineering drawings and exhibits
- Assist with maintaining and further developing drafting standards
- Draft plans for civil and related discipline design projects utilizing AutoDesk Civil 3D
- Perform site grading analysis and calculations utilizing Autodesk Civil 3D
- Work independently and collaboratively to complete project timelines and requirements
- Assist civil engineers with site design, utility design, grading, and overall plan production
- Manages deadlines and prioritizes assignments
Requirements:
- 3+ years of drafting experience on civil engineering and/or related projects
- Proven knowledge and skills of AutoCAD Civil 3D, Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Ability to be flexible and react accordingly to dynamic project needs on tight timelines and fast paced schedules
- Understanding of civil engineering concepts (i.e. site layout, grading, utility design, etc.)
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
- Must have and maintain a valid driver's license and clean driving record
