Job Description
Senior Civil Engineer at SEH overseeing diverse civil projects in Texas, emphasizing growth in local public markets and team mentorship.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as a technical lead on multidisciplined civil engineering projects across Texas, especially in the greater Austin area
- Lead the expansion of SEH’s local public market presence, supporting the launch and growth of SEH’s Austin office and services
- Recruit, grow, and mentor a team of civil engineers dedicated to excellence and innovation
- Foster collaborative relationships within SEH, sharing expertise and supporting client solutions
- Communicate SEH’s civil engineering capabilities to prospective and current clients, establishing new market opportunities
- Develop and strengthen connections with key municipal and utility clients, nurturing trust and long-term partnerships
- Identify and pursue federal, state, and local funding opportunities that enable client success and SEH’s business growth
Requirements:
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in Texas (required)
- Residence in or near Austin, TX, with strong regional connections
- Proven track record of driving business growth and market expansion in civil engineering
- Flexible and broad technical skills across civil infrastructure disciplines
- Comprehensive understanding of public infrastructure funding—federal, state, and local
- Deep knowledge of municipal and utility landscapes in the Austin area
- Minimum of eight years of relevant experience, including team leadership and project management
- Ability to build, develop, and guide engineering teams to achieve targeted business outcomes
- Confident public communicator who can represent SEH to Councils, Boards, Associations
