Job Description
Civil Engineer providing remote quality assurance expertise for federal design and construction programs. Reviewing designs, inspections, claims, cost proposals, and change orders.
Responsibilities:
- Support design reviews from concept through Issued for Construction (IFC)
- Perform quality assurance surveillance and prepare QA reports
- Perform onsite construction QA inspections and identify potential construction issues
- Support development of scopes of work (SOW) for potential construction modifications
- Conduct preliminary review of construction contractor claims
- Review contractor cost proposals and change orders
- Provide subject matter expertise for the owner supporting a nationwide design and construction program
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering
- Minimum of at least five (5) years of experience
- Active PE License
- Existing or recent security clearance is a plus but not required
- Ability to travel
- Experience as a designer of civil, site improvements
- Field experience assuring compliance with plans and specifications on federal projects
