Job Description

Civil Site Engineer supporting ACCIONA’s Central-West Orana REZ transmission project. Managing construction quality, resources, schedules, subcontractors, and cost planning across energy hubs and substations.

Responsibilities:

  • Address all quality and environmental aspects of the project
  • Record non-conformances and initiate corrective actions
  • Complete outstanding defects according to the program
  • Prepare Inspection Test Reports and checklists reflecting contract requirements
  • Support planning the use of materials, resources, components, systems, and construction practices
  • Assist the Project Engineer with construction planning documents and monitor implementation
  • Maintain the project schedule by monitoring progress and coordinating activities
  • Assist with project status reports and change orders
  • Assess daily progress and prepare plans of works for daily cost planning meetings
  • Ensure contract requirements are satisfied at work crew level
  • Coordinate resource allocation and foster effective teamwork
  • Track and accurately record subcontractor resources daily
  • Prepare cost plans and resource plans for daily cost planning meetings

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree (Engineering) Civil or Relevant Tertiary Education
  • Experience constructing outdoor air insulated substations and substations at 220kV or above
  • Tier 1 Contractor experience on large scale projects is preferred
  • Preferable 1 to 3 years post graduate experience in a construction / engineering environment
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with others
  • Ability to establish and steward overall delivery work plans
  • Ensuring all relevant regulatory requirements are satisfied
  • Competent in planning and organising work schedules
  • Working knowledge of HS&E requirements and implementation
  • Clear verbal and written communication
  • Ability to work on a roster-based arrangement, 14 days onsite and 7 days off site, in the Central West Orana Region
