Job Description
Senior Claims Manager overseeing a team of claim professionals for Strategic Comp in California. Responsible for staffing, coaching, and developing claims management in a remote role.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the oversight and activities of a team of claim professionals
- Manage the day-to-day work and activities of their team
- Responsible for the performance, development and coaching of their staff
- Promote learning and development of their team
- Primarily work from their home within the Pacific region
- Travel up to 35% of the time including some overnight travel
Requirements:
- Minimum of 10 years of diverse experience in workers’ compensation claims handling is required
- Minimum of 4 years of claims management experience in California is required
- In addition, expert claims handling knowledge and management experience in at least one of the following jurisdictions is preferred: Arizona, Colorado, Nevada, Oregon , or Utah
- Bachelor’s degree is preferred
- Solid background in coverage analysis, reserving, claims investigation, and litigation management is required
- Prior work with large or national accounts is required
