Job Description

Senior Cloud Engineer at EverCommerce leading the design and operation of AWS cloud infrastructure. Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure security and scalability across services.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design, deployment and evolution of AWS cloud infrastructure using infrastructure-as-code (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation).
  • Define standards and best practices for availability, scalability, disaster recovery, and security across cloud services.
  • Manage and deploy AWS Organization services across the enterprise (e.g., Control Tower, IAM Identity Center, IPAM, etc.)
  • Build and maintain automation for provisioning, deployment, monitoring, alerting, and remediation using scripting and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex cloud and systems issues in high-availability production environments.
  • Partner with Security teams to implement zero-trust, WAF, governance, and compliance controls.
  • Deploy and operate privileged access management solutions (Teleport) to secure access to critical infrastructure.
  • Implement and continuously improve FinOps practices, including usage monitoring, cost optimization, and capacity planning.
  • Ensure platforms meet organizational reliability and compliance standards.
  • Collaborate with engineering, DevOps, and security teams to define cloud architecture and resolve complex technical challenges.
  • Produce and maintain architecture diagrams, runbooks, and operational documentation.

Requirements:

  • 7+ years of experience designing, operating, and scaling cloud infrastructure, with deep expertise in AWS.
  • Strong hands-on experience with infrastructure as code (Terraform preferred).
  • Experience designing highly available, secure, and disaster-resilient production systems.
  • Proficiency with automation and CI/CD pipelines supporting cloud-native workloads.
  • Solid foundation in networking, IAM, and cloud security fundamentals.
  • Proven ability to mentor engineers and influence technical direction across teams
  • Excellent soft skills including communication, teamwork, building effective relationships and leadership.
  • Experience leveraging AI-assisted tools or intelligent automation to improve cloud operations, observability, or cost optimization.
