Job Description
Senior Cloud Network Operations Engineer managing Avenga’s customer-facing cloud network services. Troubleshooting production connectivity, cloud infrastructure, and network security issues.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor and support customer-facing network services running on public cloud infrastructure
- Troubleshoot network connectivity issues, incidents, and service disruptions in production environments
- Investigate network traffic flows and perform fault isolation across cloud and network infrastructure
- Work with engineering and support teams to resolve technical issues and escalate complex incidents when needed
- Follow operational procedures, runbooks, and incident, change, and problem management processes
- Document troubleshooting steps, technical findings, and actions taken
- Learn and support new cloud services, technologies, and operational processes
Requirements:
- Extensive professional experience in network engineering and operations
- Advanced knowledge of TCP/IP, IP networking, routing and switching
- Proven ability to configure, troubleshoot and resolve VPN-related issues
- Strong expertise in firewalls and network security
- Experience managing load balancing and DNS in production environments
- Practical experience with at least one major public cloud platform, such as AWS, Azure, GCP, or IBM Cloud
- Understanding of cloud networking concepts, including VPCs/virtual networks, subnets, routing, security groups/network ACLs, and private connectivity
- Advanced troubleshooting and fault isolation skills across network and cloud environments
- Experience supporting customer-facing production environments and managing incidents
- Nice-to-have: experience with DDoS protection
- Nice-to-have: infrastructure automation with Terraform or Ansible
- Nice-to-have: experience working with REST APIs
- Nice-to-have: Python or other scripting languages
- Nice-to-have: monitoring and observability tools
