Job Description
Senior Consultant deploying and automating VMware Cloud Foundation environments for Pellera Technologies. Supporting customer integration, hybrid infrastructure, and digital transformation projects.
Responsibilities:
- Deploy and configure VMware Cloud Foundation management and workload domains
- Participate in developing and integrating new and emerging technology solutions and partnerships
- Participate in customer-facing meetings to determine business and technical requirements
- Lead technical sessions on innovative data center solutions
- Organize sales and training sessions on data center technologies
- Build relationships with enterprise solution partners
- Support clients’ digital transformation through audit, architecture, consulting, implementation, and training
- Identify and validate cloud solution opportunities integrating with existing systems
- Assess cloud solutions for functionality, service availability, and performance
- Evaluate hybrid platform solutions for organizational fit
- Ensure technical feasibility for integration, data exchange, and migration processes
- Assist project managers with planning, scheduling, and tracking project activities, milestones, and deliverables
- Monitor project progress, identify risks, and address issues
- Communicate project status, updates, and dependencies to stakeholders
Requirements:
- Subject matter expertise in VMware Cloud Foundation and core data center technologies
- Expert-level proficiency designing and operating the VMware Cloud Foundation stack, including vSphere, VMware Automation, vSAN, and NSX/NSX-T
- Working knowledge of major virtualization platforms such as Microsoft Hyper-V or KVM
- Experience virtualizing servers, storage, and networks; operations management; orchestration and automation; virtual desktop infrastructure; and cloud foundation
- Ability to design and provide architecture for software-defined infrastructure
- General knowledge of containers and native cloud services
- Proficiency in infrastructure automation, Python or PowerShell scripting, and Terraform or Ansible
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
- Excellent problem-solving, organizational, customer service, sales, communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills
- Strong supervisory and leadership skills
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent consulting industry experience
- At least 10 years of experience architecting and implementing data center solutions, including 5 years in infrastructure consulting or related compute, storage, software-defined infrastructure, server technology, or network engineering roles
- At least one of: VMware Certified Professional, VCF, VCAP, VCDIX, or VMware Knight
- Ability to travel up to 25% of the time
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times
