Job Description
Senior Copywriter creating customer-centered campaigns for H&R Block’s small-business tax portfolio. Developing persuasive multichannel content that drives acquisition, engagement, retention, and revenue.
Responsibilities:
- Develop compelling copy across paid media, email, web, landing pages, social, and other marketing channels
- Create customer-focused messaging supporting SMB acquisition, engagement, retention, and revenue objectives
- Partner with designers and marketers to develop integrated campaigns and creative concepts
- Translate business strategies, product benefits, and customer insights into clear, persuasive communications
- Ensure messaging aligns with brand standards, voice guidelines, and channel best practices
- Develop and refine campaign messaging frameworks, value propositions, and customer-facing content
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, incorporate feedback, and deliver high-quality creative solutions
- Support testing and optimization by developing copy variations and applying performance insights
- Review and edit content for clarity, consistency, accuracy, and effectiveness
- Stay current on industry trends, customer behaviors, and emerging content best practices
- Contribute to the evolution of brand voice, content standards, and creative processes
- Partner across Marketing, Performance Media, CRM, Product Marketing, Analytics, and Design teams
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, English, Advertising, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in copywriting, content strategy, advertising, marketing communications, or related disciplines
- Demonstrated experience developing customer-facing marketing content across multiple channels
- Strong portfolio showcasing campaign work, conversion-focused content, and brand storytelling
- Excellent writing, editing, proofreading, and verbal communication skills
- Ability to adapt tone, messaging, and content strategies for different audiences and channels
- Experience partnering with designers, marketers, and cross-functional stakeholders in a collaborative environment
- Knowledge of digital marketing, performance marketing, and customer journey best practices
- Experience leveraging customer insights and performance data to improve content effectiveness
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
- Experience within financial services, tax, SaaS, or small business-focused industries preferred
- Experience working with legal in a highly regulated industry
