Job Description
Senior Corporate Finance Manager leading financial strategies for Instacart's International expansion. Driving data-driven decision making and financial modeling to support growth initiatives.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary finance partner for Instacart’s International expansion, owning end-to-end financial forecasting, business planning, and performance management for new and emerging markets.
- Partner closely with cross-functional leaders (e.g., Product, Operations, Strategy, Legal, Policy) to evaluate market entry opportunities, assess investment trade-offs, and provide clear recommendations that shape Instacart’s global growth strategy.
- Build and refine complex financial models to support scenario planning in a highly ambiguous environment, enabling the executive team to make fast, data-driven decisions.
- Develop actionable insights by analyzing market dynamics, unit economics, and operational performance across countries; highlight risks, surface opportunities, and drive accountability with senior stakeholders.
- Thrive in a fast-paced and constantly evolving environment, establishing structure where needed while adapting processes, forecasts, and recommendations as the International landscape rapidly changes.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, Data Science, Mathematics, or a related field
- 6+ years of experience in Corporate Finance, FP&A, or another analytical field, with demonstrated financial acumen and a track record of driving measurable business impact
- High proficiency in financial modeling, forecasting, and data-driven decision support
- Strong attention to detail, with excellent project management and organizational skills
- Clear, polished communication skills with proven experience presenting to and influencing executives
- Ability to build trusted partnerships with cross-functional stakeholders at all levels
- Self-starter mindset with the ability to operate in a fast-paced, evolving environment and navigate ambiguity with confidence.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience in FP&A, Corporate or Strategic Finance, investment banking, investing, consulting, equity research, or data science/analytics
- Prior experience working in consumer marketplace or technology-driven businesses
- Experience operating in a public company environment Interest in leveraging AI and automation tools to improve workflows, efficiency, and insights
- Proficiency in SQL or other analytical query languages
- Ability to work from our San Francisco or New York City office on occasion
