Job Description
Senior software engineer building cloud and backend systems for MGM Resorts International guest experiences. Developing production-grade services across enterprise-scale platforms.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and execute the design, development, and delivery of technology enabling customer experiences.
- Develop production-grade code through vision, definition, planning, execution, deployment, and sustainment.
- Partner with Product Management to build customer experiences.
- Identify and implement new technologies and techniques to improve platform performance and customer experience.
- Manage consistency, reliability, supportability, and observability across services.
- Communicate effectively to bring people together and enable solutions to challenges.
- Analyze product tradeoffs and deliver simple, intuitive products.
- Develop and maintain relationships with diverse teams across organizational levels.
- Model and act in accordance with MGM mission and values and perform other requested job-related duties.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree.
- Five or more years of prior relevant experience delivering commercial cloud and backend software products and services at enterprise to internet scale.
- Proven software development experience in a production environment using Java, C++, or similar languages.
- Experience working in a similar resort setting.
- Knowledge of distributed computing.
- Knowledge of enterprise-wide systems.
- Experience with agile-based development methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban.
- Experience thriving in a DevOps culture with distributed teams.
