Job Description
Senior Software Engineer building TypeScript AML services and Admin Panel features for SEON’s fraud-prevention platform. Leading technical design, delivery, reliability and mentoring.
Responsibilities:
- Design and build well-architected TypeScript features for AML services and the customer-facing Admin Panel
- Lead team-level design reviews and write design documents or ADRs for significant changes
- Challenge unclear requirements and raise delivery risks with proposed mitigations
- Deliver high-quality, secure, testable, performant and scalable code
- Maintain client-side JavaScript libraries, Node.js AML Services backends and Nest.js/ExpressJS services
- Participate in on-call rotation, debug cross-system issues and drive root cause analysis
- Improve monitoring, alerting and runbooks
- Own testing approaches, quality gates and code maintainability
- Prioritize and fix QA and customer-reported issues
- Track implementation progress using GitHub and Jira
- Review code and provide constructive technical feedback
- Collaborate with product managers, QA, Architects, DevOps and senior stakeholders
- Lead planning and estimation, break down complex projects and act as a technical or project lead
- Improve CI/CD pipelines, tooling and ways of working using retrospective data and delivery metrics
- Work with large screening and watchlist datasets
- Use AI-assisted development tools and identify AI opportunities
- Create reusable standards, templates, prompts and playbooks
- Mentor engineers and share knowledge across the team
Requirements:
- At least 6 years of experience in Software Development, including owning the design and delivery of production services
- Excellent working knowledge of JavaScript/TypeScript
- Stable knowledge of HTML5/CSS3 and RESTful API development
- Ability to cooperate with team members in an Agile development environment
- Experience designing for non-functional requirements and leading technical design discussions
- Experience operating what you build: monitoring, on-call, incident response and root cause analysis
- Track record of mentoring and leading projects or work streams without a management title
- Out-of-the-box thinking and adaptability to a fast-paced environment
- Fluency in English
